Portfolio Acquisition
The Compass Capital Portfolio Acquisition Group specializes in providing liquidity for otherwise illiquid assets by purchasing previously used large ticket assets that are subject to existing leases. The company's primary asset acquisitions are transportation equipment, including commercial aircraft, railcars, and marine equipment. Other assets include mining equipment, manufacturing facilities, oil production platforms, and power generation facilities.

Compass' leasing business focuses on the equipment itself rather than tax or financial structuring. Many of our acquisitions are completed near the end of long-term leveraged leases. Compass remarkets assets that have been with initial users on long-term leases and manages the back-end of the lease by re-leasing, selling, or scrapping the equipment.
